ID pointers: A distinctive species. The sandy brown cross-bands and white zig-zag lines across the forewing are diagnostic.
Distribution:  A resident that is local and can be common and widely distributed in Derbyshire. It is more frequent in the lowland areas of the county, being scarce further north in the Peak District.
