Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Geometridae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Usually grey or greenish grey ground colour. Two or three diagonal streaks near the tip of the forewing. Also shows a pale central cross-band.
Distribution:  (Last record: 03/06/2024 at Belper )  -  A resident species that is locally uncommon but widely distributed in the county. It is a species that is associated with water and damp habitat. Adults are often trapped well away from their preferred habitat. The two specimens shown here are well worn which would indicate they may have traveled some distance from water.
