Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Geometridae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Chequered fringes to fore and hind wings, wavy cross-lines and a single cross-line on hind wing that has a sharp central projection and pointed forewings help to confirm the ID.
Distribution:  A resident and generally common locally throughout South Derbyshire. It has a restricted distribution with most of the population resident in areas south of the Trent Valley. Rare or absent from the north of the county.
