ID Difficulty:  Red – difficult to identify – detailed examination required, often a Gen Det and/or specimen and quality photographs are required.
Confusion Species: Like many of the coleophora species the adults are vertually impossible to identify without dissection.
ID pointers: The adult moths are white with buff-coloured veins, giving rise to a streaky effect.
Distribution:  (First record: 30 May 2025 at Markham Vale NR )  –  (Last record: 30 May 2025 at Markham Vale NR )  –  A Nationally Scarce A species. The first record of this Coleophora in VC57, when colonies were found at Markham Vale on 26th May 2025. This species is described as localised and scarce across Britain with only tiny colonies in the south of England. A species that must be spreading rapidly northwards.
