Other Name/s: Bilberry Roller
ID Difficulty:  green  – easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
Distribution:  (Last record: 2 May 2025 at Glossop )  –  Harrison & Sterling described this species as Common and widely distributed across the high upland moors containing Bilberry. Since 1986 very few records – DaNES 3 in 1994 1 in 2010 & 1 in 2011. iRecord – one from North Derbyshire 21/5/2014, one from Hathersage, 25/6/2019 & one from Errwood/Fernilee Reservoirs 19/5/2019, one from Doveholes 21/5/2024.1 recorded 2nd May 2025 from heather moorland above Glossop. Most likely being under recorded due to very little field trapping on the high moors.
