ID Difficulty:  amber  – care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely – quality photographs required.
Confusion Species:  Nematopogon swammerdamella, Nematopogon schwarziellus
ID pointers: Like other Nematopogon species, but has a noticeable dark mark in the centre of the more rounded forewing.
Distribution:  (Last record: 2009 at Padley Gorge )  –  Significant record – One old record from Repton Shrubs but no date – per Harrison & Sterling – One modern day record 20th May 2009 from Padley Gorge, further evidence requested.
