ID Difficulty:  Red – difficult to identify – detailed examination required, often a Gen Det and/or specimen and quality photographs are required.
ID pointers: There are two forms, this one that shows four large creamy or whitish markings and the typical one that is more golden brown with a large pale dorsal streak.
Distribution:  (First record: 13 August 2019 at Grassmoor )  –  (Last record: 13 March 2024 at Kings Newton )  –  The 2nd record for Derbys was trapped in Quarndon on 20/21 August 2020 by Dan Brown. There is one record from the Rothamsted trap at Grassmoor  on the 13/08/2019. It occurs locally in England. A further account was from Kings Newton on 13/3/2024.

Flight Period: January /  February /  March /  April /  May /  July /  August /  September /  October /  November /  December –  On the wing during July – Aug then September when it overwinters as an adult and can then be seen again during April and May. Mine Period:  July /  August /  September
