ID Difficulty:  green  – easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Forewing reddish brown to purplish-brown with two white or creamy white cross bands. The basal cross line/band is narrower than the larger one at the apex/termen. This specimen was trapped 29th August 2012.
Distribution:  (Last record: 24 June 2025 at Birch Vale )  –  Unknown – In 1988 there were no records since 1928. Species is nationally local in Oak woodland or on Oak. Three recent records latest Birch Vale 24/6/2025
