Confusion Species:  E.cinereana
ID pointers: Variable with different forms. Forewing is usually blackish-brown at the base area and at the wing tip area with a pale reddish-brown central area. Can show a blackish or reddish-brown blotch on the dorsum.
Distribution:  Widespread and common across the county where there is Sallow or Poplar.
