Confusion Species:  Turnip Moth
ID pointers: The moth gets its name from the semi-translucent hind wings, which give the appearance of a pearly sheen. The upper-wing is very variable in a mixed range of colours of purple, grey, brown and cream. Has a characteristic pale median thoracic crest and white basal wing spots.
