Confusion Species:  Chamomile shark
ID pointers: A distinctive feature is the collar that is raised to a “Punk-Like” projection over the head. The pale fawn-grey ground colour has forewing fringes that are clean and unmarked, as opposed to Chamomile Shark, the confusion species, where they are cut by dark veins. 
Distribution:  (Last record: 30/07/2024 at Shirland )  -  A resident species in Derbyshire that is widely distributed but not common, with only a scattering of annual records.
