ID pointers: Female tends to be larger and paler than the male. Forewing pale straw-brown or whitish shaded with dark or light brown. Three large white blotches in the central area of each forewing.
Distribution: Widely distributed in the county, especially along rivers, canals and old ponds, on a variety of aquatic plants.
Flight Period: June / July / August / September / - On the wing during June – September.
Moth Activity: Nocturnal - occasionally attracted to light
