ID Difficulty: - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: A sandy brown or yellowish-brown forewing with a long feather shaped longitudinal white streak running through the centre of the forewing broken towards the wing tip. The wing tip fringe is silvery metallic.
Distribution: A common and widely distributed species in grassy places across the county.
Flight Period: May / June / July / August / - On the wing during May – August.
Moth Activity: Nocturnal - but can be disturbed during the day
