ID Difficulty: - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Triangular shaped at rest. Forewing brownish with indistincy cross-lines and a square white spot at about half way in from the costa. There is also a scattering of other small whitish dots over the wing.
Distribution: Common and widely distributed across the county.
Flight Period: May / June / July / August / - On the wing during May-August.
Moth Activity: Nocturnal - and is attracted to light
