Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Pyralidae Other Name/s: Gold Fringe ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: A beautiful little moth. Both fore & hind wings a metallic purple with wings fringed a bright golden orange. Two golden orange spots along the leading edge with wavy cross-lines through the hind wing. Fairly unmistakeable.
Distribution:  Widespread across the county. Mainly found on Hay and Thatches.
