ID Difficulty:
- easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Easy enough to identify with zig zag cross-lines of dark and pale colour. Ground colour of forewing is usually a creamy yellowish or pale greyish brown.
Distribution: A fairly local species both nationally and no doubt in the county. Found on Ash.
Flight Period: July / August / - On the wing during July – August.
Moth Activity: Nocturnal - and is attracted to light
