Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Pyralidae Other Name/s: Broad-barred Knot-horn ID Difficulty:  amber  - care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely - quality photographs required.
Confusion Species:  Similar to other British Acrobasis species.
ID pointers: Forewing reddish brown to purplish-brown or greyish brown. A white cross band bordered black at about one third. Two small black discal spots about central forewing.
Distribution:  Unknown – As at 1988 no twentieth century record. Assume now to be fairly widespread and common as the species has expanded its range. Found on Oak.
