Confusion Species:  Pammene argyrana (Oak Gall Moth)
ID pointers: A fairly distinctive species showing a rather long and narrow forewing, with a horseshoe-shaped whitish blotch on the dorsum. The hind-wings are whitish with a dark border.
Distribution:  (Last record: 07/04/2025 at Glossop )  -  Nationally Scarce B – Records from Harrison & Sterling – Repton Shrubs 1920 & 1928 – At least 15 came to the SKI/FUN Lure at Long Clough & Shawmoor Plantation, near Glossop 3/4/2025. This moth is likely to be well spread and completely under-recorded. Some historical records have been forth coming concerning numerous recorded from Grange Wood (Derbyshire) during 2021-2024 and one in April 2018 to light also from Grange Wood (Derbyshire).
