ID Difficulty:
- easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: An attractive little moth. Forewing ground colour yellowish-orange intricately marked with varying shades of brown, yellow and orange. Identified by the obvious central yellow blotch.
Distribution: Locally common in many suburban places where there is privet and woodland containing ash.
Flight Period: May / June / July / August / - On the wing during May – August.
Moth Activity: Diurnal - and is attracted to light
