ID Difficulty:
- easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Quite distinctive. A variable forewing with ground colour of yellowish brown with net like markings varying in intensity. The darker central markings and marks along the costa can also be variable but usually diagnostic.
Distribution: A common species, especially on Oak, throughout the county.
Flight Period: June / July / August / - On the wing during June – August.
Moth Activity: Nocturnal Crepuscular - active from dusk and attracted to light
