– easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.ID pointers: Male is a flat whitish-grey, pale yellowish-brown to dark yellowish brown. Rarely marked. Female forewing is a creamy yellow-brown with darker, rather diffuse markings, including a rather oblique cross-band at about a third and another at about a half, with inner margin deeply indented.
Distribution: (Last record: 17 July 2018 at Kings Newton ) – Uncertain, likely to be widespread where there are flower meadows. Since 2004 only 10 records from Melbourne, Kings Newton, Belper & Newall. Latest 17/7/2018 Kings Newton.
