Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Tortricidae Other Name/s: Autumnal Shade ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: The male has elongated forewings slate grey in colour with a slight whitish wedge shaped wash along the leading edge. Also several darkish blotches along the leading edge and central within the forewing and often a cross band. The latest of the tortricidae to be on the wing.
Distribution:  Very patchy in its distribution across the recording area. Most records are from the peak grit areas in Derbyshire, rarely recorded away from the northern half of the county. Sometimes abundant on unspoilt moorland. Males are on the wing in October and early November. One of the latest of the Tortricidae to be on the wing,
