Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Parametriotidae Other Name/s: Yellow-headed Cosmet ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: As the name suggests it has an obvious yellow head. Sooty black-grey forewings, with a black elongated oval tufts half way along the dorsum
Distribution:  (Last record: 22/05/2004 at Kings Newton )  -  Found on hawthorn. This appears to be the first record since 1981.
