Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Gelechiidae Other Name/s: White-border Neb ID Difficulty:  amber  - care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely - quality photographs required.
ID pointers: Brownish forewing with a white streak from the base to near the dorsum. A black dot in the middle at about three quarters and an angled line from costa to wing apex. Other markings can be variable.
Distribution:  (First record: 21/07/2024 at Sandiacre )  -  (Last record: 02/08/2024 at Breaston )  -  Nationally Scarce B – A new species for VC57 & Derbyshire when one was trapped overnight on 21st July 2024 at Sandiacre by Paul Buxton. A species that is localised in parts of south-east England, with isolated pockets occurring further north and west. A second record was recorded from Allestree on 26th July 2024 by Stephen Plant. Then one trapped at Breaston 2/8/2024 by Steve Thorpe. Possibly a species expanding its range into Derbyshire.
