Confusion Species:  Beautiful Golden Y
ID pointers: Not as attractively marked as pulchrina, also slightly larger in size and the ground colour is an overall light reddish-brown and less ornately marked. The golden”y” mark is usually separated but can be complete.
Distribution:  A resident that is fairly common and widely distributed in Derbyshire. This plusia is more numerous than pulchrina in the south and it is not uncommon in all areas of the county.
