Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Noctuidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: The most diagnostic feature is the prominent white patch at the trailing corner of otherwise black and greyish mottled forewing.
Distribution:  (Last record: 29/07/2024 at Buxton )  -  A very scarce species in Derbyshire. This specimen trapped in 2008 was only the 3rd county record. First recorded in 2004. Reports continue to be widespread, referring to single individuals. Likely to still be a scarce species.
