Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Noctuidae ID Difficulty:  amber  - care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely - quality photographs required.
Confusion Species:  Uncertain, The Rustic
ID pointers: The oval and kidney mark are blurred and do not have any crisp lighter edgings. Upper wing brown or dark brown showing a silky texture when fresh. Not unlike Uncertain or Rustic. Hind wings are a silky white. 
Distribution:  Common and widely distributed throughout Derbyshire.
