Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Noctuidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: The forewing of this autumn moth is a greyish black or grey or a dull green and the most distinguishing feature is a pale blotch in the central area next to the oval, bordered with black along the rear and central area. The green colour of the forewing can be very variable.
Distribution:  (Last record: 2024 )  -  A resident that is uncommon and locally distributed in Derbyshire. A species that is associated with ancient woodlands, especially in the south of the county.
