Taxonomy:   Macro  >> . >>  Noctuidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Most noticeable feature is the chalky white kidney mark that is bordered with white. The ground colour is a dark greyish brown with pale sandy blotches.The darker outer cross-line has a prominent “W” mark towards the middle.
Distribution:  A resident that is widely distributed and common in Derbyshire. Although found across all areas it is most common and numerous in the south of the county.
