ID pointers: Unmistakable
Distribution:  (Last record: 27/06/2024 at South Wood )  -  Last recorded June 2024 – An uncommon species in Derbyshire with the first record from Ripley 2012, then 1 in the Heanor area in 2014, a further 3 in a churchyard in the Heanor area in 2015 and now this one found in a garden on 5th July 2016. So a total of around 5 records. It looks like the species is expanding it’s range and it also looks as though there is a small colony around the Ripley, Heanor area. In recent years, several recorded in various locations in the Trent Valley, including one in Melbourne in my garden moth trap overnight on 25th June 2020, and a pair mating on Comfrey at Ticknall on 5th June 2024, providing further confirmation of the species colonising in the county.
