ID Difficulty: - care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely - quality photographs required.
ID pointers: Tiny but distinctive with a golden thorax and a white head. Three white cross bands on otherwise golden forewings.
Distribution: This little moth was not recorded in Britain until 1982. So assume the status in the county is common, as it is found in gardens, on conifers, especially junipers and Leyland Cypress. It is spreading north and west in Britain.
Flight Period: May / June / - On the wing in May & June.
