Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Geometridae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: A reasonably diagnostic spring moth. Not likely to be confused with any other moth flying at this time. A large triangular shaped species that rests with wings open and flat. The colour is variable. Males have feathered antennae and females are usually whiter in colour. The cross-bands are broad and edged with irregular jagged black lines.
Distribution:  A resident but generally uncommon moth, with a localised distribution in Derbyshire. Prefers old woodland in the south of the county.
