Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Geometridae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Unmistakable. A large moth dappled with black spots over a white ground colour to the wing with a pale yellow basal cross-band and another through the central area of the forewing.
Distribution:  Has become scarce to uncommon in recent years. A species that was once locally common and widely distributed in Derbyshire. Favours urban areas of the central coal measures and the valleys of the rivers Trent & Derwent.
