ID pointers: All parornix species require particular care in identification. Adults are all similar to each other and are best determined by either gen-det or by rearing through the food plant. They all have a distinctive resting posture with the front part of the body raised on the forelegs, and a slightly up-curved rear.
Distribution:  The species is nationally common in Britain and so it is likely to be common where the food plant is. More likely that the mine is discovered.
